RIME courses are designed to develop proficient professionals in management and engineering with modern knowledge, skills and attitudes required to satisfy a myriad of corporate and industrial needs of the private and public sector.

The total duration of the courses is variable although carrying a maximum of 36 months to complete.

The courses are offered on a Full-time and Part-time basis. The assessment is through continuous assessment and written examinations.

The courses are a fusion of theory and practicals through field work based assignments and attachment so as to give the students exposure to the contemporary professional and industrial exposure across the globe.

Senate Members

The Royal Institute of Management and Engineering’s principal governing body is the Senate. Our Senate has members from renowned institutions and competitive organisations from different parts of the globe. Their main role is to advise in strategy and framing of policy, regulations, curriculum and syllabi for the programmes offered at RIME.

 RIME is committed to general principles of Corporate Governance and best practices, which endorse a culture of business ethics, openness, transparency, integrity and accountability in its dealings with all its stakeholders. In particular, the Institute subscribes to and is governed by the principles enshrined in relevant codes of corporate governance and best practices. 

It is through our Senate Charter that the duties and responsibilities of the Senate is delineated and enshrined with principles of good corporate governance.

To enable it to effectively discharge its duties and responsibilities, the Senate may delegate certain of its responsibilities to relevant Committees, with the Senate retaining the overall responsibility. The Senate has currently constituted three (3) standing Committees, namely: the Examination Committee, the Technical and Student Affairs Committee and the Investment, Finance and Procurement Committee.

The responsibilities of the Committees are detailed in their respective Terms of Reference approved by the Senate.

Prof. Peter Tsvara

(PHD, M.Ed, B.Ed- Educational Management & ACQAA, NITTTR,Chennai, India)

Professor Peter Tsvara is a seasoned educationist and practitioner with experience in    academic governance, accreditation, budget development, budget management, academic committees, university senates, staff assemblies, Quality Assurance controls, donor relations, alumni relations, academic support services, student affairs, enrolment management, fundraising, marketing and branding, strategic planning and implementation.

He is currently the Director-Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness at Solusi University; having been University Dean, Faculty of Education, Solusi University from August 2015 – July 2018. He has vast teaching experience and has supervised more a sizeable number of M. Ed and PhD students. Prof Peter has developed more than 36 articles and papers, some of which has been presented on national and international conferences. He also has seven (7) books which has since been accepted for publishing.

Dr. Vishniee Bissonauth (Phd)

Ph.D (Motreal), Msc (Quebec), Bsc (Mauritius)

Dr Vishnee Bissonauth is a PhD holder in Nutrition at the University of Montreal, an MSc in Nutrition at Laval University (Quebec), and a BSc in Food Science (Mauritius).

She has the qualifications required to contribute to the advancement of projects in Education in general as well as specialization in the field of Public Health, Food Studies and Nutrition. During her Masters, She worked as a tutor for distance learning courses in nutrition for BSc students at Laval University in Quebec and during PhD she lectured research and nutrition modules for students in B.Sc & M.Sc level at the University of Montreal, on a part time basis. In addition, she worked with the research team of Dr. AMRE at CHU-Sainte-Justine Hospital Canada, as a research assistant on a project entitled, Nutrition and Crohn’s Disease. At present, She have been working as lecturer as the Mauritius Institute of Education.

Coming back to Mauritius in 2013, she was the program lead of an Employability skills program:  Education in Nutrition, which composed of the writing of 4 manuals and the conception of 4 videos; at the Open University of Mauritius. Furthermore, she was also the program lead of MSc in Nutrition program and in 2016 helped in the conceptualisation of Master in Public Health program, at the Open University of Mauritius.

All these very rewarding experiences have allowed her to develop qualities of teaching, pedagogical abilities and scientific rigor.


Dr. Stanzia Moyo.

D.Phil in Demography (UZ), MSc. (UZ), BSc. Geography and Environmental Studies (ZOU), Certificate in Demographic Methods and Analysis (The Netherlands), Dip Education Gweru Teachers College.

Dr Stanzia Moyo is a decorated academic and author per excellence with over two decades of research and tutorship experience. Currently she is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe and Chairperson at the university’s department of Population Studies. Her key research areas are: Male Reproductive Health Issues, Population Projections, Migration, Child Malnutrition and Family Planning. She brings with her a rich experience in exam setting and moderation, thereby ensuring that set quality standards are adhered to. She is currently the Senate and Examinations Committee Chairperson at the Chartered Institute of Risk and Security Management. RIME benefits much from her background in the professional and academic realm.


B.ED TESL(Hons), STPM (Malaysia), CTEETBA NTTTRChennai, India

Parveen is a seasoned and exceptional educationist with passion for developing the youth and young professionals. She attained her qualifications at the Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris with distinctions and appeared on Dean’s list in five (five) semesters.

She has vast experience in teaching and pedagogics having been a lecturer at Polytechnic Malaysia. Not only teaching, but she is also in the management division.
As the Head of the International Unit, ample collaboration has been carried out – Thailand, Indonesia, India. The collaboration consists of English Camps, Corporate social responsibility (CSR), and has been specially requested to be the instructor to groom and teach the English Language. 
 As the world is moving towards online learning, she has been the Leader for Massive Open Online Course (English for TVET 2016) and ongoing E-Learning officer in her Institute.
Now she is working on a collaboration with other countries to enhance this online learning and sharing of knowledge and professionalism. 


She adds great value to RIME as she has much required international exposure and network.

Executive Senate Member
BHSS (AU), MPG (AU) & CDIMD (NITTTRChennai,India).

Tafadzwa holds a Masters in Peace and Governance (MPG), Bachelor of Humanities and Social Science degree from the Africa University (Zimbabwe) and Curriculum Design and Instructional Material Development Certificate (NITTTR, Chennai, India). Tafadzwa is the Chairman at Intrepid Holdings P/L of which incorporates Intrepid Property Developers, AMAS, Imagine Plus Media and Capital Bazaars.  He commands technical and strategic upper rungs management depth in Professional Training, Motivation, Consultancy, Acquisitions, Insurance Risk Management and Entrepreneurship. Tafadzwa was Managing Director for KM Insurance, Deputy Group Managing Director for Arkrite Holdings Group and Branded Homes and Furniture. Tafadzwa also sits in a myriad of corporate boards

Previlege. Pswarayi

Executive Member
BCom Banking & Finance-Pending (Z.O.U), (Cert Insurance (I.I.Z), Dip Insurance (I.I.Z).

He is the founder and former Chief Executive Officer of Pre- Vangie Investments. Previlege has a perfect record of illustrious carrier at Insurance powerhouses which includes Fidelity Life, Nicoz Diamond and Regal Insurance. During that tenure he gained nearly a decade of insurance experience spanning all facets of both long and short term insurance. It was at Regal insurance where he pioneered the one stop concept where motorists where for the first time in the history of the country able to access motor vehicle third party insurance from service stations countrywide. He winded off his Insurance carrier as an Assistant General Manager at Regal Insurance.  He enjoys spending his free time travelling with his family. He is a seasoned and accomplished farmer and entrepreneur.
